Marriage

Two of my best friends are getting married. I get to stand beside them on their wedding day! I am so excited for them :) I think I am so excited because I know what they have to look forward to ... or atleast in the first two years. (HOLY COW have I really already been married almost two year?!?!?!? Where does time go?)

Ladies ... Here are a couple things you have to look forward to!

-You will forever have a personal foot warmer and bug killer
-Your husband will be able to reach high things. It opened a whole new world for me. Or atleast a new kitchen cabinet.
-You will have someone to watch movies with and be lazy with
-FREE yard work. Who doesn't love letting someone else Mow the lawn

Ok so kinda joking kinda not. But marriage really is awesome. I mean you get to wake up next to your best friend every morning. What could be better?

Sarah Hope is getting married August 3, 2013.

Roasted Brussel Sprouts

I know what you are thinking. Brussel Sprouts. Ewww no thanks! Don't judge until you have tried this recipe. Andy and I have been trying atleast one "new" veggie every week. By "Andy and I" I mean Andy takes 2 bites washing them down with milk so he can't even taste them and I eat the rest of the veggies. I normally buy something that catches my eye at the grocery and then get on pinterest and find a way to cook it! So are you brave enough to try them? I think YES!

Balsamic Brussel Sprouts
1/2 pound fresh brussel sprouts
1 T olive oil
1 T balsamic vinegar (or more)
Sea Salt

1. Preheat oven to 375F.
2. Peel off outer layer of brussel sprouts and cut them in half. (I also like to cut off the stem)
3. In a bowl mix brussel sprouts with other ingredients
4. Lay them in a single layer on cookie sheet or pyrex dish. Roast for 15 min, then flip them and roast on other side for 10-15 min.

Possum Fun

EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. Even just thinking about a possum gives me the heebie geebies. I DO NOT LIKE THEM!
Well... apparently my dog dosn't like them either. She attacked one this weekend. A baby Possum. Yup. Our 2 and 1/2 pound dog attacked a POSSUM. She picked it up by its neck and toted it around our yard. It played dead the entire time. We thought she killed it! Andy picked colbie up and made her drop the darn thing and before he could get back over there it was gone. We gave Colbie a bath and washed out her mouth and tried not to think about it.

So don't you worry. It came back the very next day. THE VERY SAME THING HAPPENED! Here is baby Possum ...

So this time Andy took the possum and threw it across Northshore. So if it tries to come back hopefully it will get hit by a car on the way :)

My current obsessions ...

1. Bumble and Bumble!
The man who cuts my hair introduced me to this product. LOVE it. I also use Bumble and Bumble Shampoo and Conditioner. It is amazing.
2. My Cross Bracelet.
My sister got me this for my Birthday. I really love it. Very sweet of her.
3. Orbit Gum DoublePak. Who doesn't love gum.
4. High Heels.
Yes. You read that right. High Heels. I know right? If you know me you know that I normally don't wear heels. But now I do all the time. I think it is my job mixed with grown up life. I don't really know. Maybe I just like feeling a little bit taller :)
5. YMCA.
I have had a membership for a couple months now. I really enjoy going. I mainly have a membership for the group fitness classes. Great place. I like what they stand for.
6. Sweet Potatoes.
I LOVE SWEET POTATOES! I do this new thing where I cut them up and put sugar, cinnamon, rosemary, salt and olive oil and bake them. Delicious.
7. Flowers.
But not just any flowers. These are flowers from our back yard :)
8. Lipton Tea.
If you haven't tried it ... do. It is yummy.
9. Army Wives.
I feel like I always have a show I am watching ... currently it is Army Wives. Girl Drama. Enough Said.
10. My Tervis Tumbler.
Love drinking water out of this thing!!!!!
