July

July has gone so stinkin fast!

Wedding season is upon us! Sarah hope gets married this Saturday. Holy Cats! ... Here we are celebrating Jenn and Sarah Hope. What fun :)

Summer means being active right? Andy and I have turned into an active crew. Tennis, golf, and biking. Our three new hobbies.

Yup. That is me with a hair net on. Sometimes when I go into the store and they are busy I just hop right in there to help. Eat More Chicken.

We celebrated Calli's 26th Birthday. First time to the Knoxville Cheesecake Factory. It was DELICIOUS!

July

Sorry for the blogging absence. I have been trying to get the hang of my new job. Let me fill you in on life. I left the law firm the end of June. They made me feel so loved ... and made it hard to leave.

For two weeks now I have been the "catering coordinator" for 3 Chick-fil-A stores in Knoxville. I love it! Every day looks a little bit different, and I very much so enjoy the variety. What a great company I have been given the opportunity to work for.
Here are 3 of the prep ladies. I spend lots of time with these cheerful women. Only one can speak clear English ... but we all share lots of smiles :)

And the best part of my job is that I get to learn how to work for a company that my sweet husband loves and is passionate about. We kinda work together. Let me explain ... I work in 3 different stores, and sometimes I work from home. So I see Andy in passing when I am at the Homberg store. It is fun to see him in action. He is so good at what he does. I am thankful for his hard work and the passion the Lord has given him.
Here we are on our first Cow Appreciation Day.
Until next time ... Eat More Chikin :)

All things

Romans 8:28
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

I am constantly being reminded of how great our God is. Especially this past week and weekend.
Y'all. I have a new job. And I am really excited about it. This pretty little thing is now taking over my position at the law firm. She is going to do such a great job.
I got to see my sweet friend Laine on Friday! We met at 5:45 ...yes a.m. to walk just like old times. It was so refreshing to see her and catch up on life. What a treat! I am so thankful for her friendship.
I have great friends. This past weekend I sat and people watched in market square with this crew. Love them
And wiffle ball. Who doesn't love wiffle ball?! The annual wiffle ball banquet was on Sunday. Andy reverts back to being a 16 year old CHILD when this event rolls around every year. He played hours of wiffle ball, ate hot dogs, and set off fireworks. Yes. Fireworks. Thank you Widmers for not kicking him out of your house like you should have. When we got home from the banquet he looked at me and said, "Well I guess it is time to grow up and be an adult again." I'm thankful for this group of boys and the friendship they have.

Hilton Head Island

Best week of my life. But seriously. This past week Andy and I went to Hilton Head Island to (early)celebrate our 2 years of marriage. It was so fun and relaxing ... and a much needed break from this crazy adult life. Troutman family vacation meets Fennell family vacation and has a baby and that is what our vacation looked like. Let me explain:

A typical day of Troutman Family Vacation (meaning my family of origin ... thanks child and family studies for that terminology):
-Wake up between 7:00-8:00 am and exercise. Run. Walk. Bike. Whatever you want. :)
-Eat breakfast and drink coffee as a family and talk about what the day/night will look like
-Lay in the sun and read. ALLLLLL day. Mostly at the pool
-Come in for lunch mid day and then go back out
-Come in and shower and get ready for dinner
-Go out to eat (previously planned out and reservations made)
-Get Ice Cream/ Watch a movie/ Board Games
-Early bed time

A typical day of Fennell Family Vacation (Andy's family of origin):
-Wake up around 11:00 a.m. (No Joke!)
-Gradually meander out onto the beach one by one as you wake up
-Eat Brunch ... whatever time you feel like eating
-Spend all day on the beach playing. By playing I mean: throwing tennis ball, throwing football, throwing baseball, swimming in the ocean, searching for sea creatures, throwing tennis ball in the ocean, body surfing, ...You get the point. They NEVER STOP MOVING
-They come in off the beach very late in the day
-Dinner around 8:00 or 9:00 p.m. Sometimes eat dinner in, sometimes go out to eat. Decide right before dinner time
-Watch the braves play
-Go to bed around midnight

Opposites attract right? So our vacation is somewhere in the middle. We spent equal time at the pool and beach. At in 3 nights and out 3 nights. Walked on the beach a lot. Read books. Played Golf. Got Ice Cream.  Loved on our sweet dog. And enjoyed time off work.

Marriage

Two of my best friends are getting married. I get to stand beside them on their wedding day! I am so excited for them :) I think I am so excited because I know what they have to look forward to ... or atleast in the first two years. (HOLY COW have I really already been married almost two year?!?!?!? Where does time go?)

Ladies ... Here are a couple things you have to look forward to!

-You will forever have a personal foot warmer and bug killer
-Your husband will be able to reach high things. It opened a whole new world for me. Or atleast a new kitchen cabinet.
-You will have someone to watch movies with and be lazy with
-FREE yard work. Who doesn't love letting someone else Mow the lawn

Ok so kinda joking kinda not. But marriage really is awesome. I mean you get to wake up next to your best friend every morning. What could be better?

Sarah Hope is getting married August 3, 2013.

Jenn is getting married August 17, 2013
I can't wait for all the wedding festivities to begin. YIPPEE!
